Job Description
- Greet customers upon entering the store and provide assistance throughout the buying process.
- Handle customer questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide excellent customer service by offering prompt, courteous, and professional assistance in frame and lens selection.
- Achieve established sales and customer service goals and objectives.
- Operate cash registers and manage financial transactions.
- Follow proper procedures when accepting checks and credit cards, acting as a cashier.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork and measure/order customer spectacles.
- Protect all company assets, including inventory, cash, credit card drafts, bank deposits, and equipment.
- Execute displays according to guidelines and maintain store assets following standard operating procedures.
- Share store maintenance and cleaning duties with co-workers, including organizing work areas, maintaining accurate store records and files, greeting customers, answering telephones, inputting data, and keeping merchandise displays clean.
- Assist co-workers as needed, including providing assistance to the optometric practice.
- Maintain good working relationships with other employees, customers, and vendors.
- Demonstrate dedication to honest and ethical business practices at all times.
