Job Description
Sales and Commercial Performance
- Communicate sales targets to staff and help maximize store sales and profitability
- Maximize productivity targets, including sales per square foot, average transaction value (ATV), and conversion rate
- Implement retail strategies and procedures in consultation with Territory Head and Concept Heads
- Control costs within budgetary guidelines
- Identify internal and external commercial opportunities
- Ensure effective stock and space management
- Conduct SWOT review to analyze customer profile
- Provide monthly feedback on competitor and event activities
- Suggest improvements based on benchmark practices
- Develop and implement training programs to improve staff performance and enhance customer experience
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and events that drive sales and customer engagement
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock replenishment is timely and accurate
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Foster a positive and motivated work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices and apply them to the store's operations
- Conduct regular store audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and pricing
- Continuously evaluate and improve the store layout and visual merchandising to optimize customer flow and product visibility.
Inventory Management & Stock Distribution
- Ensure effective inventory and warehouse management for the concept in the territory, including order management, stock consolidation, movement and transfer, optimum stock utilization, and handling of stock returns and shrinkage
- Review and analyze stock and sales reports, monitoring overstock and understock situations, and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Review and effectively manage fast-moving and slow-moving lines, new ranges, and end-of-range products, and take necessary actions to optimize sales and inventory levels
- Ensure that merchandise is priced as per the company's norms and matrix format
- Provide monthly feedback to the Concept on sales performance, stock positions, and product feedback
- Collaborate with the Concept and Territory Head to develop and implement inventory and warehouse management policies and procedures
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory and warehouse management policies and procedures
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to improve their inventory and warehouse management skills
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions and reconciliation of inventory accounts.
Operational Standards and Management
- Ensure the store is compliant with the store operating and customer service standards
- Ensure the store is compliant with the company policy on employment, state laws, and health and safety standards
- Ensure the store portrays the company image in all aspects of personal presentation and adheres to the company dress code as laid out by the Company
- Ensure store sales and promotions are effectively executed and professionally delivered
- Be accountable for store sales and assets as per the operating standards and standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Conduct regular store audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to improve their customer service and compliance skills
- Foster a positive and motivated work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective sales and promotional campaigns
- Monitor customer feedback and take necessary actions to improve the store's customer service and compliance performance.
People Management
- Ensure that all new recruits understand their job and are well inducted within the company
- Assist the Area Retail Manager in grievance handling and disciplinary actions Ensure skill development and performance management of store staff through Learning & Development initiatives
- Monitor and appraise the performance of retail staff in coordination with the Area Retail Manager and develop individual career plans Provide support in staff welfare activities, such as transportation and accommodation
- Set KRA's (Key Result Areas) for direct reports and conduct performance appraisals Oversee staff deployment and drive motivation levels of store staff
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and customers Develop and implement training programs to improve staff performance and enhance customer experience
- Foster a positive and motivated work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement policies and procedures related to staff management and welfare.
